anyway, i've good food to recommend you guys! idk if i'm the only katak di bawah tempurung or not(which is most likely the case here..) but seafood at kuala selangor rocks! but needa take about 1.5 hours of driving from KL(sunway pyramid actually). and like every other good seafood in fishing villages, the restaurant is built on a lot of wooden planks. below is the sea/river water, and you can see a lot of plastics and some non-recyclable floating(if it sinks, you can't see it on the surface xD) substances. you can even watch the process of the worker dumping rubbish into the water while waiting for your food. :P (talk about pollution..) we waited like 20 mins before we got a table. you can imagine how busy the restaurant is. then while we were seated waiting there were some people shouting. apparently a rat was running about on the PVC water pipe (which is like 2m from ground level). and after the rat was gone, everyone continued to eat. -_-" after like an hour, our first dish finally came. it was erm some fried baby octopus i think. the baby octopus tasted crispy and the taste.. i forgot already. but was really nice lah cos everyone finished it like really quickly. before the rice came? the more notable dishes are probably butter crabs(never had that before so it was really new to me) and steamed fish with ermm juice which tasted kinda sour(sorry lah, i'm not the one who ordered all the food -_-"). then i forgot what else. cos i was too busy eating crabs. XD
after that we went to fireflies park where we took a ride on sampan just to view those natural LED around the mangrove swamps. was 40 bucks per sampan and 4 person max on a sampan. was my first time being on a sampan and.. it felt 200 times worse than being on a motorboat. cos it's like soooooo small and not stable. gave me a feeling that if i just jump lightly and it will turn over. which is bad. cos the sampan uncle said there's buaya there! but he said that night would be fine cos the water was flowing quite fast. haha so yeah it was quite thrilling :P
next day, klang bak kut teh. which was the most disappointing meal of all. probably cos we didn't go to the most famous shop. idk why. so yeah, the bkt tasted so-so only, in fact i think bkt in farlim tastes better.
afternoon, gone to melaka for food again. this time, nyonya food! at ngok lan or something. i think this one most ppl know la. its freaking famous and again, have to wait for table. worse still, they gave us like 4 sets of fork and spoons + plates short. when we asked the boy, he said sorry ah, downstairs washing. wth. so poor cannot buy more sets meh? -_-" by the time i got my plate(i was one of the 4 lor..), my cousin almost finish his rice d. =.=
then we had chendol standing by the stall(the famous one =s). another shop with not enough chairs and tables. i couldnt differentiate the ingredients but my bro said they put less gula melaka but it tastes just good? something like that. for me it was better than penang chendol lah. i don't really enjoy penang chendol cos.. too much santan.
last meal of the day, chicken rice balls lor.. the famous shop already tutup kedai for the day, so we had to eat at some other shops. which had lousy food. and lousy service as well. =s
i guess the boring post above concludes the food trip. i've got the coordinates of the kuala selangor seafood saved in my gps so i guess if you want it just ask from me.
